Norlab dissolution testing newsletter

Good afternoon,

Welcome to the latest edition of the Norlab pharmaceutical testing newsletter, which is highlighting innovative dissolution capabilities and solutions that can improve your overall productivity.

Would you like to simplify your dissolution testing process? Well then, we have good news for you from our long-term partner Distek, a leading manufacturer of pharmaceutical testing instruments for over 40 years. Their Opt-Diss 410 measures 2 components in a single UV analysis, directly in the vessel. Would you like to learn why top pharmaceutical companies as well as the FDA and USP have adopted the Opt-Diss by Distek? We would be happy to put together a private webinar just for you and for your team. Please fill out the webinar registration form and we will get back to you promptly to confirm a date and time convenient for you.

Welcome to our online store! We are pleased to be able to offer you all Quality Lab Accessories (QLA) dissolution testing accessories. The sophisticated product search allows you to search by product category, QLA part number and dissolution bath manufacturer part number.

Please feel free to forward this e-mail to someone more appropriate for us to connect with.

All the best,
Michel Palu, Editor

No more sampling with the Distek Opt-Diss 410 UV fiber optic system!

Keeping the science in the vessel! The Distek Opt-Diss 410 UV fiber optic system for dissolution testing measures directly in the vessel, eliminating manual or automated sampling along with the associated consumables, labour and off-line analysis.

Moving light rather than liquids also allows generating near real-time dissolution data and nearly limitless sample points as frequently as every five seconds. The system also allows simultaneous data collection for 6-12 channels (two dissolution baths) and acquisition of full spectral range 200-420 nm.

Choose from patented ARCH probes designed specifically for dissolution testing with negligible hydrodynamic effect or conventional dip probes with interchangeable pathlengths – both types are available.

The Opt-Diss 410 software uses Multi-Component Analysis

Measure two components in the same dissolution test without the need for LC, including products with two APIs or interaction with excipients, coatings, capsules, or any other source of deviation of the UV spectra.

The software features broad baseline correction options to correct for light scattering produced by turbidity:

  • single reference wavelength
  • two wavelengths (perpendicular drop)
  • average over range
  • second derivative

The software is 21 CFR Part 11 compliant with full audit trail.

If you got excited and would like to learn more before joining the webinar, please have a look at a recent white paper “Analysis of Two Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) Products Using  UV Spectrophotometry with  Multi-Component Analysis and a  Fiber Optic Dissolution Analyzer” by clicking the link below.
